There is a reason citrus belongs to summer. Lemon, bergamot and neroli are the fastest notes in perfumery: they arrive the instant the bottle opens, bright and cold and a little bitter, and for a few minutes they make the heat feel further away.
Wear them the way they were meant to be worn — generously, and often. Citrus is the one family where reapplying at midday is the point, not a failure.
